Making Life Changes

MAKING LIFE CHANGES

As I move towards making meaningful changes in my life, I often struggle with impatience at the pace of change or I just take one step towards that change with a sense of curiosity to see what happens next.  The missing ingredient when I am in a state of impatience is an attitude of kindness, acceptance, and believing in the possibility I can make this change.

Carl Rogers said: “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I change.”

Cory Muscara, one of my favorite mindfulness teachers, asks two important questions:

How much will you need to change before you’re able to love yourself?

OR is it

How much will you need to love yourself before you’re able to change?

Would love to hear how you navigate change in your life and which question above resonates with you more? What resonates with you in the question?
